Biography

Xxx Xxx Xxxxxxxxxx is an Affiliate Adjunct Professor within the Departments of Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and the Clean Energy Institute xx xxx Xxxxxxxxxx xx Xxxxxxxxxx and a consultant in the battery industry. Has over 47 years of experience in academia and the battery industry, including in research, product development, manufacturing, battery electronics, applications engineering, intellectual asset management, battery system design, and business development for batteries and battery raw materials, refined materials, and materials sustainability. Experienced in cell design and manufacturing design for all formats of lithium-ion battery technology from coin cells to small, medium, and large pouch cells, cylindrical cells, and small to large prismatic cells, pack modules for small and large applications using pouch, prismatic, or cylindrical cells. Experience in the battery design process, specifically with materials, insulation selection, geometry & voids, partial discharge/corona, significant voltage transients, and packs in series/multipack. Twenty patents granted and pending, including eight on FDA-approved formulations for kidney dialysate. Previous litigation experience, including patent, ITC, and IPR.
