Biography

Dr. Xxxxxx Xxxxxx, XXxxxxx is Division Chief of Surgical Oncology and the Xxxxxxx Xxxxxxxx xx Xxxxxxxxx Xxxxxxx at the Xxxx Xxxx Cancer Center. Prior to this, xxxxxxx served as a surgical oncologist based at Xxxxxxx Xxxxxx Xx Xxx Xxxxxxx xx Xxxxxxxxxxx, Chairman of Surgery at XXX Xxxxxx xxx Xxxxxxxxx xXxxxxxxxx and is a former XxXx Xxxxxxx Associate Professor of Surgery and Cell Biology at Xxx Xxxx Xxxxxxxxxx xXXXx School of Medicine. Xxxxxxx started his laboratory at XXX xx xxxx after completing clinical and research training at XXXxxxxx and at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Xxxxxxxx research is focused on the role of xxxxxx xxxxxxxx xx xxxxxxx the inflammation-cancer paradigm in the liver and pancreas. Xxxxxxx has published in high impact journals including Nature, Cell, Nature Medicine, Cancer Cell, Journal of Experimental Medicine, and Journal of Clinical Investigation. Dr. Xxxxxx has experience in the development of monoclonal antibodies, having brought 2 monoclonal antibodies from bench to bedside. In addition, the findings from xxxxxxxx lab have been translated to 4 separate xxxxxxxxxx immunotherapy clinical trials in pancreatic cancer.
